Do you make more money with a good blog or a bad blog?
Before I answer that, let me introduce a radical idea that may not have occurred to you: some people blog without any real thought of getting money from it. They get some perverse pleasure from just creating good content - especially if it makes some point they want to promote or advocates some idea they think is important. Usually such bloggers write things that are strangely personal, even sharing intimate details of their lives. And (brace yourself) people read these blogs.
I enjoyed reading The Zen of Blogging a few days ago. And the answer to the opening question is that you make more money with a good blog. Of course, it helps to know what constitutes a good blog.
Blogging is a lot like most service occupations. If you're in it mostly for the money, you should probably be doing something else. It's a catch-22. People who decide to blog because they want to blog often make money at it. On the other hand, people who decide to blog because they want to make money usually don't...
