If you want to make money with your blog, you need to have strong traffic. While posting high quality content is the most important thing you can do to make this happen, if someone searching for that content doesn't find it because it didn't come up high enough on their Google search, it's all for naught. Search Engine Optimization may seem like a hassle but it's well worth learning. Knowing what keywords related to your topic are hot and using them when in your posts will do a lot to insure your posts wind up at the top of Google's search results. Not only will this get you more readers, it'll also make your blog more attractive to advertisers! There are other factors involved as well, such as how many other sites have linked to your blog, but keywords are the place to start. To help check out the free research tool at Wordtracker. Just put in a keyword and it will generate a list of related keywords and an estimate of how often they are searched for. Very useful! Keywords can also help you generate ideas for posts, making them even more valuable. Check out the free tool and let me know what you think!
