 Finding Good Keywords
The best way to find new customers is to find out what problems do they have and offering them your solution as the way to solve their problem.

Finding good keywords is done on the Internet by researching what your customers are searching on Google or Yahoo. Remember, people go online because they are looking to solve a problem. If yours is the best solution they will become your customer.

Blogs are a great way to solve your customer's problem because you are showing them your expertise by constantly providing them with fresh information.

To have a more successful blog and to reach a targeted audience, search for keywords with at least 2-5 words. This is called a long-tail keyword phrase.

One of the most popular ways to find good keywords is with the free version of Wordtracker. Just type in a word or short phrase you think your customers are searching for and click the "Hit Me" button or press the "Enter" key on your keyboard. A list will appear below that shows how many people searched for that word today. The results will also show you other related keywords. If you click on one of the related keywords you will get a new list.

You want to look for targeted keywords where 100 - 3000 people searched today. This can also be a combination of related keywords. If less than 3000 people searched for the keyword in a day then your target audience will be too small and if you get over 3000 searches then you lose the concept of a targeted market and have to start competing with larger, more established sites.

Once you have your list of keywords, go to Google and type in the each keyword or keyword phrase to find out how many websites are available to solve the problem. You know you have a good keyword if the search results produce 5- 20 million web pages or less.

Once your have a good keyword phrase you can use it to name your blog or use in your messages. This serves two purposes

1. Your customers will find you when they do a search
2. The search engines will rank you higher on the search page
